Why would Clay want to save a team he hates?

All listed plus the players.
Also, along these same lines I'm really hoping Reid gets coach of the year. There is an article on put this morning on how Rivera or Philbin might be the front runner The article states there are 50 voters and it's not announced till SB week, I think that awards show on Saturday night before the game. I'm assuming they have to base this on regular season only.

Clark for getting Reid here, and Reid for doing what many thought he was too burnt out to do at this point in his career, which is coach at a level easily on par with his best years with the Eagles.

For this year, it's Reid and Alex Smith. Head Coach and QB have been our two biggest weaknesses going back to the Vermeil/Green era.
Going forward, having Dorsey will probably prove to just be as good of an upgrade. But in terms of turning around a 2-14 team with almost the same roster as before, obviously, coaching and a new QB were bigger factors this year. |

I give credit to Peterson, Pioli and Reid/Dorsey for putting this talented group together, even though we can second guess a lot of the choices.
Andy Reid is the guy that created a winning environment that enabled the talent to succeed, thus he gets my vote. I know Clark gets a lot of credit, but he also picked Pioli. Who would have ever thought the trade of Jared Allen could be so positive in a 3rd round pick of Jamaal Charles? |

Holy Trinity:
Clark, John, and the holy Andy. Took all three working together. But it all started with Clark making the command decisions. |

Reid and Dorsey are responsible for the change in culture, but it stil comes down to the act of making change.

If Clark is anything like his father, his loyalty to bullshit could have led to terrible things.
How many years of empty seats did Arrowhead suffer in the 70s and the 80s before Lamar made changes? 2-14 and empty seats are a pretty strong message, but just in case it wasn't enough, there was also SOC. It was a safety measure to ENSURE that Clark did the right thing. |

I think Losing games and not being competitive wounded Clarks pride and the whole Belcher thing just put all their dirty laundry out there. Chiefs were a joke and when banners are flying over your stadium-it was time to take action. Clark really changed my opinion of him- he stepped up and is making his own way now. |
