cidaemon.exe keeping computer processes @ 100%

any reason why this may be occurring?

I am clueless... but it is slowing my comp way down.

Might be worth a try.

EDIT: Also found this little tidbit:

The normal location of cidaemon.exe is C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe If its not running in that location you'll want to reference some virus DBs and/or scan for viruses.

Might want to check that out as well.

might be an "indexing" issue

turn it off and see if it helps

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Disable Indexing Services
