I have no sympathy whatsoever for the deceased. My dad was robbed at gunpoint in his own ****ing driveway last year at 6:00 AM. I sure wish someone had followed that stupid thug around.

I agree right up to your thing about your dad. That says to me you think Martin was on his way to committing a crime. Martin shouldn't have attacked Z, but I think they both probably felt threatened. There's lots to ask. You can say Z would've been killed if not for being armed, you can say it wouldn't have escalated like it did if Z didn't have a gun.

Or you can say that Z shouldn't have pulled the vigilante justice to begin with and simply let the cops do their jobs. All of this would have been avoided.

Following someone is vigilante justice?

He has every right to follow that kid until he's out of the neighborhood if he chooses, just like Martin had the right to be walking there.

No crime was committed until Martin chose to crush some rock with Zimmerman's skull.

Honestly, I would hope that I taught my kid not to get into fights and/or call the police if someone was trying to start one with him.

At least that's what I was told when I was a kid. It was "don't talk to strangers," not "gank that sucka."
