11 hits, 1 run.... Wow, just WOW! The problem with the, "well, that's baseball" folks it that it presents an appearance that it's not a crisis. And it is, it's a crisis. Perhaps not on other teams that see that happen once, maybe twice, a year, but here in KC it happens all too often.

Like we all say, not that we got the pitching, the results we're getting at the plate is just terrible. We have sparks, but a spark in not fire. We're chunking sparks on waterlogged wood!

It doesn't matter anymore, it's already over. This series was our only real chance and the Royals went full Matt Cassel.

You could be right. Once again, the players are on their own to get it done. Not even a pretty packed house could help them will their way into turning 11 hits into more then one run.

Alex's injury sure cam at a bad time, but you can't blame him, you don't schedule injury. The sad part is, two runs can beat this team (at hone, in front of the crowd they had asked for). So yeah, they really need to temper any talk about "fan support" because last night proved that it doesn't matter. Just sad.. They have a WS-calaber defense, but suffer AAA hitting in FAR too many slots. And our guy who's there to "hit" (only), well he may have some hits, but he ain't clutch.
