To get specific....

My son was born just before the last playoff win....since then I:

had a daughter
moved from KC to Greenwood, SC to Lexington SC, to Mooresville, NC to Columbia MO, to Georgetown KY to Indianapolis IN.
Left one of the best jobs I ever had to take a job that lasted 2 1/2 years before the company folded (got out before it folded), got another job that lasted 1 year before the company was sold and then folded into the parent, then got another job that lasted for 18 months before the company was sold to it's competitor, then got another job to help with a turnaround on a textile company that lasted 2 1/2 years before it folded (got out before it folded) then got a job with a small appliance manufacturer that lasted 3 1/2 years before it was sold to an investment firm that merged it with another of the competitors (got out before that happened), got a job with a uniform company that lasted 4 1/2 years before being "down-sized" , and then got my present job....which I hope lasts till I can retire (or the Chiefs win a Super Bowl, whichever comes first)

My son graduated from HS 2 years ago....and my daughter is a junior.

I actually needed the following the last time the Chiefs won a playoff game:

A comb
A land line
A 2400 baud modem

Edit: since my the last playoff win I have lost my Father-in-Law, my Mother, my Father, and 2 of my best friends in my Industry

My oldest daughter was 3 years old.... I had just a tad over a years seniority at my current 20 year seniority job... Bought a house.... Went to multiple games when I was a true homer and met many of you with family and friends.... Bought and sold 8 vehicles...Become a grandfather... Had 2 dogs and 1 cat die of old age... And watched multiple family members pass away.

The last part is what bothers me the most. My dad and I have this Sunday ritual where we always spend time together to watch the Chiefs. He and I have been to many games together over the years and created multiple quality memories there. I'm 41 and have yet to watch this miserable franchise in a Superbowl. Dad's 68 now and his health is gradually degrading. It would really suck if this ******* franchise can't pull their ******* heads out of their a**** for ONE G** **** year and finally represent the AFC and win the Superbowl before my father and I don't have the opportunity together.

Still remember that day and that game.

Sad to think it has been that long.
I started teaching in 1992. It's now 21 years later.

Events-too many to mention. Kids, moving, life, death.

I used to get excited on game day and lived on every play. Then I realized I wasted three hours and got no work done. The Herm years forced me to work and watch the game. Now, I have to force myself to sit in front of the TV. Last week I went to Costco.

I would settle for a competent competitive team at this point.
Glad the season is almost over. Spring is around the corner

time since last playoff win

Cincinnati Bengals ^ఆ 1990 AFC Wild Card Playoffs 21
Detroit Lions 1991 NFC Divisional Playoffs* 21

Can I play?

Graduated college... watched Denver win 2 rings, got married, built a house - had 3 kids - moved and built another house - saw the NFL expand from 28 to 32 teams - watched Plummer and Tebow win playoff games in Denver, while watching Manning prepare for another SB run in Denver.

It's crazy to think that KC's last win was against the Houston Oilers and LA had 2 teams... Bettis was the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Kurt Cobain was still alive and Google was still 5 years away from being founded. Clark Hunt was 28 years old.

It just feels mean when you say it. Why do you have to use ugly, hurtful words?

In search of a championship my son was born in 1999. In 2011 he won his 1st national karting championship, and in 2012 he won 2 more national championships, just missing the coveted WKA Triple Crown.

See, I get to brag on my kid and trash the chiefs in one short post. That's a win-win in my book!

My oldest was just a 1 year old toddler back then. Now he's a grown adult (will be 20 in January). My middle child (16 years old) has never seen a Chiefs playoff win.
