It is kind of amazing that Nebraska has settled for Bo Pelini's mediocrity for as long as they have now.
With their tradition, facilities, financial resources, etc. they should be able to still attract a top flight HC. If Penn State in bowl banishment hell can attract a guy like James Franklin, Nebraska should have their pick of pretty much anyone. |

The irony of your statement: Pelini was on both Penn State and Miamis list of coaches they wanted to hire. |

Golden was just as shocked and thrilled as Pelini probably was that he was even being considered for another job. Also Pelini wasn't even a consideration for a potential replacement for Golden at Miami if he left. It would have been Rob Chudzinski, Greg Schiano, or Butch Davis. Pelini is Bear Bryant compared to the last couple clowns they brought in there, who were raped repeatedly by the Big 12 South. (5-18 vs them before they ran off to the BIG). They're happy with 9-4 because being worse is far more likely than being better.

I didn't think the guy before him was that bad ( for the life of me I can't remember his name). But I thought he got a raw deal. I think he was better than Pelini. |

In comes Callahan and I call those years the "Golden Years." It was awesome watching them get raped at OSU and TT. |
