You'd become very competitive before you even know it to be honest.

I've been playing a long, long, time and have seen dudes that never laced up that became descent players within a year or two.

Yeah, not a great game by the Avs even though we got the point. But after 6 wins in a row, without two (three if you count Tanguay) top six forwards and coming off of a tough match with the Blues yesterday, I have trouble asking for more.

Nice win.

We got up to Denver and then got an NHL GameCenter text to my phone that said Crosby was out for the game. Many curse words were uttered.

Nevertheless, a huge way to bounce back after last night's stinker and missing key pieces. Saw a few fights between Pens/Avs fans. Who knew there was such a huge rivalry between the two fanbases? Thanks, alcohol!

For beer leagues they usually have leagues for beginners, depending on the interest in a certain area. Sometimes there is not enough interest to fill multiple skill levels of leagues so its just one league with many different skill levels. Then some teams stack themselves and beat the shit out of the house teams, usually with a ton of beginners. It can still be fun though.

Blues are gonna have to keep the slide going pretty hardcore, but it's not completely impossible. If the Avs win tonight, the difference would only be 2 points, but the Blues hold the tiebreaker, so the Avs would have to gain 3 points for it to matter in 3 games. Remaining games:
