Or welcome to big company cost savings. They have other projects to have the people working on. They probably don't feel the ROI is high enough with the conversion, versus another movie they can make with the same resources.

Or creative control versus profit maximization.

The bonus is that maybe disney could be convinced to release the theatrical released original trilogy in Bluray if it made economic sense. Lucas wasn't doing it because it wasn't his vision.
