f.y.e. online - subpar experience

Just wanted to do my little part to spread info on a pretty crappy online experience. You can track the developments here;

Basically, attracted attention to their site with a loss-leader. Got more attention than they thought, filled a few orders, tried to stall some other people for a while, then claimed 'pricing error' and cancelling the remainder.

Placed my order 01/04/07
Got confirmation e-mail, tracking info included.
Got e-mail stating they were STILL TRYING TO FILL 01/22/07
Got e-mail citing 'pricing error' and cancellation 01/24/07.

Oh, and 10 advertisement e-mails since the order was placed.
And they have my credit info - though not for long, as I'm stopping by the B&M store nearby to make sure all that info is expunged from their system.

Not illegal, just really shitly handled.

OH - and their parent company also runs Wherehouse, Coconuts, Suncoast, Saturday Matinee, Sam Goody, etc.

I don't shop at their B&M stores either. Too expensive.

Not yet, not sure how much energy to put into it. I'm already dropping by the B&M to complain and make sure my info is deleted from their rolls.
I already had the trilogy, bought one by one, but my cousin had all of her's stolen when someone broke into her car, and I was picking it up as a B-day gift for her.

BBB probably won't have any effect.

You have to be invited to be a member of the BBB, and pay membership dues. If you run your business like that, you simply choose to not belong to the BBB.
