Chiefs vs. Bills discussion thread...

Now that the preseason is over finally, the real bullets start to fly!

Who wins? What matchups can we take advantage of? How do we matchup with their offense, defense, special teams?

We must beat them. My wife's aunt is a big fan and she's as annoying as their uniforms.

On the other hand, if the Chiefs decide to go with Albert and Richardson as the tackles, then I don't think that will bode well going into week 1.

My gut feeling says Merriman vs. Richardson is going to be a mismatch. Thus, advantage Bills.

From what I've heard browsing Bills message boards is that Merriman seems to be impressive given his limited playing time in the pre-season and is looking back to old form. They are going to need a healthy Merriman. The Bills haven't had a player that has had over 6.5 sacks the last 4 seasons. They lack a passrush. With that being said, Merriman will be the key to their defense. Imo, the coaching staff is giving him limited playing time and preserving him to be healthy for the season opener.

Don't be surprised if you see a lot of double teaming on Merriman come week 1 IF Richardson starts. Moeaki is going to have to come in and help Richardson out. That is not a good sign when your TE has to be an extra blocker it going to take away a good option in the passing game.
Dude, Merriman has had 4 sacks since 2007. The guy is ****ing DONE.

There are Knowmo's for every team.

Merriman NEVER came back from that first knee injury, and I wouldn't expect more than 5 sacks from him.

Yeah, right, in a division with NY and NE, they're going to go 8-8, along with going on the road vs. Philadelphia, NYG, SD and Dallas.

Quit smoking crack.

Looked good for a Bills LB or in general? Maybe I am just biased against him being a Charger, but I never agreed with all the media love he got. You take away that dance and attention he brought to himself after plays, not sure he would be so highly regarded. Not saying they guy didn't make some great plays. He did, and I would certainly take him on my team playing at the level he did a few years ago. But its not like came out you play after play, he disappeared for quarters, halfs, at a time.

I highly expect this game to be ugly. Much like it was last season. I still expect us to win.

Go over to Billszone for a good laugh....they are all convinced Dareus, Williams, Merriman and Nick Barnett are going to dominate our offense.

Whatever it takes.

Between him, Barnett, and the addition of Dareus, we're much better.

Your rook has a learning curve. Your broke dick has an age curve. And the other guy is a druggie. I think you're not that much better. But hey, let's allow Jamaal Charles to figure that out for us!

I like your style, but just cant see us putting up 27 in the first game, other than Charles we'll prolly look like deadly serious ass on O, i'm thinking more like 13 - 7.

Unless that collection of no names comes out like the new 85 bears, we'll win... they have two good safeties & a runner with homerun potential, though he rarely did squat last year. As long as the D doesnt phone it in, its a win.
