Football NFL course-changing events that did not happen

This one kind of sparked my interest. I don't remember it at all.

James B. Orthwein purchased the Patriots on May 11, 1992 with the intention of eventually moving the team to his hometown of St. Louis.

The Rams would have stayed put in LA, or moved somewhere else
I wonder if Boston would have whined as much as Cleveland did two years later, to the point of getting a new expansion Pats, maybe erasing the Panthers or Jags from existence
Denver would have had to go in a different direction with their new logo in 1996 (see picture below)

I'm certain there are plenty more examples of this. Serve 'em up!

A Chiefs-related one I'm thinking of, too:

Lamar Hunt was going to use Columbia blue and orange for his AFL franchise's colors, until Bud Adams jumped the gun and claimed Columbia blue for the Oilers.

Lamar being Lamar, I'm certain every other uniform component would have remained unchanged. You guys OK with being in the Sea of Blue in some parallel universe?

Another one: Clark Hunt had all intentions to move the Kansas City Chiefs to Liverpool, England after the passing of his father, Lamar.

Except, in unexpected circumstances, season ticket holders kept paying the increasingly higher ticket prices, so he left them in Kansas City.

True story.

If you subscribe to the multiverse theory, the math suggests that somewhere the Chiefs have drafted every HOF quarterback there ever was and has gone undefeated to win the Super Bowl every year of its existence. I'm pretty sure CP was still pissy about the team.

Not only players/team wise, but a new universe for every single possible missed block, tipped ball, and misstep, in every game ever.

As well as varying possibilities of in-game outcomes for all of the hypothetical teams.

My mind just exploded a little bit.

I'm still ticked off that we benched Montana for the playoffs once Marino came back from his injury. Montana was clearly the hot hand.

In 2013- the Chiefs had a 28 point lead in the Playoffs-they choked-20 more years would go by until they finally won one. The 10 fans watching the game at Arrowhead went crazy!
