That stretch between 2008-2010 for Rivers was pretty impressive.

30 wins 18 losses
All 3 years above 65% completions
13000 yards
92 touchdowns
33 picks

If we had traded for Rivers, not many would have batted an eye at 2 second rounders.

Most of us would be totally homering it up with realistic hope of this kind of production at quarterback.

I would in a heart beat.

The worst case scenario with Rivers would be not contending, maybe a wild card birth with no shot at a Super Bowl... AKA Alex Smith.

The best case would be contending for Super Bowls.

I'll take it.

This proves the level of hypocrisy and complete lack of objectivity around here then doesn't it?

Not really.

Alex Smith haters consider his entire body of work, and the talent surrounding him when he actually "produced."

Same standard applied to Rivers.

If we had a poor OL and no running game I wouldn't trade for Rivers.

No, it shows that 2008-2010 Rivers shits on Smiff's entire career and that he'd actually be worthy of the hype that True Fans are giving to Smiff.
