I'd take VandenBosch or Howard at end.

Kinda slim pickings at tackle.

I'd take Rocky Bernard in a minute from Seattle. He was an asbolute monster in the championship game.

At DE, I like Kimo, Howard or Mathis.

He is a little too up and down. Kinda like Chester McGlockton. He'll have one good game, one bad game. A little too inconsistent.

The market appears to be very slim for DTs.

My candidates for DTs are Rocky Bernard, Larry Tripplett, and Grady Jackson. Other than those guys, nobody on that list looks appealing.

DE's seem pretty good. I really like the DE's that are available.
Im a big fan of Aaron Kampman. Weaver, Roye, and Von Oelhoffen are all solid run defenders.

I think we need a bit of both a passrusher and a run stuffer. Maybe Howard is our best bet?

he had 54 tackles in 05' that seems like alot for a DT.

Oh it is. He's an ok player. Mainly a run stuffer who can clog up the middle. A big fat body in there that can occupy blockers. However, he is 32 years old with some injury problems. Passrushing ability is a concern. Grady doesn't have that.

Not your every down lineman. There is just some games where he'll play real well, and some games he won't show up. He was like that in New Orleans. He had a great year his first year with the Pack. Last year was inconsistent though.

He's not my top choice. But I would consider him.

Id prefer some young blood in the interior of that line. Id like to have a DT with passrushing ability, and a monster against the run. So far, Rocky Bernard would be my choice.

Id have to agree with you there Bad Guy. He looked very very solid. I was impressed with his performance. The good news is he's young.

He had a pretty good season too. 52 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 3 PD.

*Im just concerned that he ain't one of those guys that is just playing for a contract.

Even if he is, there's no way Pitt lets him get away.

As far as the older guys go doesnt it boil down to win a Championship next year at all costs?

With all the old guys set to retire in KC now, isnt it an absolute win now at all costs situation?

I'll take Rocky Bernard. We need a pass rushing DT more than anything. Bernard is not a huge name either so its possible we could afford him.
