Could this guy make it in the NFL?
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1227091016581
Now, this guys a great player and this is kinda big news over here with him being a household name, but I got doubts he'll find it easy to adjust to the NFL seeing it's a totally different game. Reggie Bush came down here recently (to do ads for Foxtel or something) and he said Hayne would be a great running back in the NFL, and talk seems he thinks he'll make it as a running back. Seems he's already visited the Seahawks. I'm of the opinion he'd be more suited as a safety or cornerback, or returning kicks. Is there anyone from another sport that did it? |

I played wing defender in soccer for many years.
There is less difference than you'd think between that and playing CB. |

Yeah I'd think he'd have a hard time, unless it's just returning kicks. Only 3 aussies played NFL far as I know - all punters. Oh except that fat coconut dude that plays NT out of Alabama, I forget who drafted him or what his name was.

Unrelated hope-giving fact - this years NRL grand final was won by Souths, who haven't won since roughly the same year the Chiefs did and who have been hilariously bad for most of the past 20 years.

There was thread not too long ago about Rugby vs NFL.
Will be interesting to see. IF he does successfully make the transition, then ill look quite the genius. |

Interesting... I know the 49ers signed lawrence okoye last year to play dt. He was a european discus thrower. And then margus hunt was an estonian discus thrower. Not sure if he counts though since he played in college. There are a lot of collegiate throwers that would have scouts drooling all over them if they knew what they were capable of athletic wise.

He runs as high as AD aka All Day aka AP aka Adrian Peterson. He could learn to be a fine RB in the NFL.
If he can punt he might actually have a career. |
