I know this is a couple weeks old but I just came across this.

EDIT: Looks like these are dated photos and would have been from when the console was still in beta, so the setups are simply for demo of game play while being finalized and even available.

That is from e3 or something.. right at console reveal time.

My friend and I were talking about next gen and how all our previous consoles died on us. With a PC you get a failure on a certain component, you get a longer warranty and the system isnt dead. You merely can swap it or upgrade it.

Consoles will always have exclusives, but PC will have cheaper prices on games. Especially if you wait a few weeks.

Once MMo's became the suck, PC gaming died for me. If they were to bring back another old school Everquest type game, then i'd be all over PC gaming again. lol

I'd still own a console too. Iremember after raids in everquest back in the early 2000's i would fire up my dreamcast/xbox and play some NFL2K games.

best of both worlds lol

my point was if you had a motherboard fail, it normally comes with a 3 year warranty rather than a console standard 1. You can keep all you existing components or choose to upgrade. No option for that in consoles.

Exclusives are where its at for consoles. Any game that has a PC port, I would rather save money and wait for a steam sale or similar.

The good the bad, and the ugly.

Went out for the mid night release of the xbox one.

Got it. Pretty easily actually. Finally unboxed it yesterday, everything was working fine. Took a nap, got up, went and turned it on, and my xbox will not pick up my Kinect. Says its not plugged in.

Undid the update, restarted from scratch, still not reading it. Spent 3 hours between the phone, and computer talking with XBOX. They are sending me a new Kinect before i have to send back the broken one, which is cool.

Still annoying. The only thing i truly hate, is you have to install every game.

I bought 5 games, and killer instinct. all have about an hour install.

Annoying. But from what I have played, all of the games except madden have so far impressed me.

Once they get to a certain point you can play them. As far as I could tell that's around 25%. Not every game takes an hour. Just the big ones.
