Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Some of the Paelo principles are just theories, and going a little extreme with the caveman diet philosophy. I kind of equate it to the bible, in that while some passages are nuts, the overall principal of being a better person is similar to Paleo's principle of getting ride of processed foods. I see nothing wrong with having dairy, white rice, ect, but I don't see anything wrong with getting rid of boxed foods whose ingredients read like a college thesis.

Rotate standing and seated every day. Do that for a few months and you wont have to do them as much again
