Chiefsplanet Show and Tell

Show us something cool that you own. Preferably something kind of unusual.

My company collects magnets any time we go anywhere. Here's one wall of our kitchen where you can see them on the fridge, the door and window frames, and tracing across the ceiling. The ceiling line goes to the opposite wall where we have about the same number on some magnet boards. We have around 350 magnets on display now from tons of cities, about 30+ states, and over 20 foreign countries, and the collection continues to grow.

So what do you have? Show me something cool.

Is this the only one you have, or do you have others and this is just your favorite?

That is my favorite one. Most of his paintings are mountains and nature or houses. He did some humor like that one but I don't have very many pictures. After I was adopted had a riff in the family and I didn't get to keep a lot of stuff that was rightfully mine. Most of it stolen from family members. I really don't know what happen to it all but his paintings and my memory of him are great.

Not sure it's all that unusual. But I like it. Just fits in the basement.

this is "Truman", my 1948 Willys CJ2A. She's in the garage right now with the engine pulled, the axles off, and about to undergo a complete frame up restoration.

Incidently, here's sorta a cool story regarding this "jeep". It is referred to as an agrijeep. Willys overland was trying to find a market for these army jeeps after WWII ended. So, they fit them with a rear PTO and a 400 lb tractor weight on the front. So, you can till up a garden, hook up a large circular saw (sold them to the US Forest service too), a trencher, wood splitter, etc.

Also, this one is a "lefty", meaning that the spare tire carrier in on the left, or drivers side of the vehicle. There were only about 10K of these made before several states decided to not allow them on the roads because they were a hazard to hit pedestrians when backing up, obscuring the drivers side view mirror. Missouri was one of those states. So, the leftys were made for about six weeks, and then they converted back to the right side spare tire carrier.

Here we are 65 years later, and there can't be many lefty agrijeeps remaining, so she's at least somewhat rare.

I love the PTO on that thing. That would be super handy.
