Suggestions on new TV

looking at around 50 inch.

3d or not? Hearing that 3d is not being done much.

Watch mostly TV and football. Not many movies.
May be looking for a bundle-sound bar included.

Looked at a few today.@ BestBuy
The Panasonic Plasma was good and the right price.
Then I noticed it did not have a sound output other than optical.

Went to Costco with the wife. Looked around-mentioned the sound output.

Then she says--"Get what you want, get what works. If that means a new stereo-then get it. We have the means." AND NOT SAID IN A SNARKY OR SARCASTIC WAY!!!!!

We may end up with furniture out of this too. SCORE!!!!

Believe me-she is golden and one of a kind. I am a very lucky man.

I just need to make sure that she can easily run everything.

Yes, and Panasonic purchased the technology from Pioneer years ago.

My personal advice just based of features and quality at a good price would be to get an Onkyo. I updated my parents home theater and after the initial setup (which Im sure you can do no doubt) they can basically control the entire setup all thru the Onkyo remote for all their devices - with the exception of the roku I got them last xmas. They are technologically toddlers - especially my mom, and after walking her thru it a time or 2 she can access everything and anything she needs to.

Cool! I'll definitely check it out.

FYI, I purchased a new Vizio SB4021E-B0 40-Inch 2.1 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer in July. The subwoofer wouldn't link but with the sound at its maximum, it was unable to fill the room, so I stuck with a Sony receiver, wall mounted Infinities and a 10" sub and returned it to Amazon.

I really wanted to get rid of the stereo in that room because the speakers are ugly, but that unit didn't cut it. I'd avoid that model if anyone is looking for something loud (which is my M.O. ).

So I went with this http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/UN55F6400AFXZA

and this

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+...specifications

Great picture. 3d is pretty cool and it can simulate 3D.

I got rid of about 10 cords and gained a lot of space.

The old TV was a 42 in projection with big speakers on the bottom.

Looking forward to games again.

Then I learn that Google is negotiating for Sunday Ticket from the NFL.
I will post that elsewhere.

Anyone get a TV from costco?

Looking at something in the 60-70" inch range.

Not too expensive (under $1500)
