Johnny Cash won Grammys and did some of his best work after Nashville turned its back on him, so

Nashville and the new generation of country artists who aren't anything like what country music used to be.

The only reason the Dixie Chicks won is because Hollywood is against the war, and so are the DCs.

I'm not fond of the war either, but I'm not winning wars because of the fact.

They need to quit re-making songs. "Life is a Highway" by them was just terrible. If I was Tom Petty I would sue them.

As others have pointed out, that song was written and originally performed by Tom Cochrane.

Secondly, once a song has been released, ANYONE can cover it. An artist/composer can't sue another artist because he covered a song. That's the law.
