Movies

Yeah, so I saw a lot of movies this weekend.

Elizabeth: The Golden Age - Mediocre, at best. Slow and dragged on. Shorten it to 2 hours and it's golden. It's not, so it fails.

Michael Clayton - Amazing. Everything about it is awesome. However, it's VERY complex and mind bending. You have to think, so be prepared. I still feel like I'm missing key details of exactly what happened. Gotta see it again.

Across the Universe - Perfect is one word that comes to mind. It just works. And, contrary to many people I bet, the movie is best viewed sober. Trust me.

Well I started hanging out with a group of friends like 4 years ago and they would always bring up how one friend spoiled the movie for another friend while he was watching the movie and he just came up to him and said,

Spoiler!

as he was watching the movie. So in turn I became spoiled on it because all of them weren't courteous enough to ask me if I'd ever seen the movie before mentioning that a million times.

I think people generally make too much of it. I think it's really a story about the struggles of a young person trying to find an identity and their place in the world, and figure out what their life is about. Teen angst in short. The time continuim stuff is a dramatic tool used to make the story interesting. I see all this stuff about hidden meanings and secret codes and stuff, but I think that's looking a little to closely at it.

I watched A Serious Man last night. Pretty damn good, I bet I would have liked it more if I were Jewish. But if you're a fan of the Coen brothers, check it out!

Yeah, I honestly don't know how I missed that one for so long. It's kinda like the Goodfellas of Rock and Roll movies.

There's something about Kate Hudson I can't put my finger on. She not super hot or really sexy but she seems to light up a room when she walks in for some reason.

On a side note that I'm thinking about it: Goodfellas was made 20 ****ing years ago. I'm pretty sure I'll go to my grave with that as my favorite all time movie. Godfather was excellent but it was just slower and more methodical. Goodfellas is just the most awesome ****ing movie ever.

Twenty ****ing years....wow!

**** you **** face, i'll shoot you in the ****ing face!
