The plane carrying Petrino to Arkansas has arrived. Yes that is what we do in our spare time when we are looking for a coach, watch planes on flightaware and speculate where they're going and who's on them.

Nice:
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/7553354?MSNHPHMA Petrino called a staff meeting late Tuesday afternoon, a meeting which last about 10 seconds, sources said. "He just said to us, 'Guys I've resigned, I'm going to Arkansas. I'm sorry. I'll be talking with you guys in the future.' And with that he turned and walked out the door. We haven't been told anything else," said one assistant coach. |

I think Arkansas did very well by snagging Petrino. I'll still never understand firing a coach as good as Nutt without a replacement in hand. Nebraska did that and ended up with Callahan.

This whole thing seems dirty to me. Not even 24 hours ago he was coaching an NFL game.

Early in the season, it was mentioned on his show that many of the black players were upset with how Petrino tried to distance the team from the whole Michael Vick situation. Apparently, some of those guys don't know the difference between getting your team focused for the season and "abandoning" a teammate in a "time of need." FWIW...... |
