I watched those playoff losses too but, I'll take the 90's over the first decade of the 2000's every time.

You do understand that 15 teams have never won a Superbowl right? At least we won one.

I'm not talking about your third option until we earn the right to. I think it's funny when Chiefs fans even say the word. It's ****ing hard to win the Superbowl.

It's really ****ing hard and it almost always takes years of building.

You don't just build through talent. You build by winning consistently. The goal isn't to win the Superbowl this year. Not yet anyway. Reid and Dorsey both said it is going to be three years before we are a legit contender. I expect a similar run as Marty and Carl had in the early 90's but, hopefully we win this time in the 4th year.

1. 1990 - Wildcard
2. 1991 - Divisional run
3. 1992 - Wildcard
4. 1993 - AFC Championship run

This probably isn't going to happen overnight. If Alex is what's holding us back, Dorsey will get someone else. Just like Carl did.

There is no use in talking Superbowls yet imo. It's not realistic.

Pioli chose the wrong QB and it was indicative of his overall incompetence. If Reid has chosen the wrong QB to lead the franchise, he's incompetent and will fail. Either Reid knows what he is doing, or he doesn't. Time will tell.

In other words, all the Alex Smith hate should be focused on Andy Reid (and John Dorsey).
