Math does not respect the Chiefs

Even though we are the only undefeated team, we only have a 6% chance of winning the Super Bowl. Ahead of us are:

Seattle 35%
Denver 16%
Cincinnati 11%
Indy 8%

and tied with SF.

This is according to my nfl-forecast.com software using team efficiency ratings from advancednflstats.com

Meh, one game. Losing Geno Atkins is going to hurt them though.

Although I thought Advanced NFL Stats had them rated too high.

i dunno seattle is basically like a MUUUCH better version of the chiefs and they don't really throw down the field... just when they do its not a disaster like the chiefs every time.. For instance that 28 yard throw from alex smith was NOT the norm for the chiefs... in other high potent offenses... thats just a normal play... But hey chiefs fans haven't seen this kinda stuff in a while so I won't get down on them for winning.. Welcome back to the conversation chiefs fans... but know the Chargers WILL sweep you as by seasons end they will be the most efficient team in the NFL. By the Philip Rivers leads the NFL in Pass completion PCt. and has led the NFL in passer rating.... this may just be the bolts year... its obvious they have not peaked... even with injuries.

Russell Wilson throws the ball down the field, sorry. Among the leaders in deep completions.

yea but the chiefs SHOULD be.... any time you can run the ball like the chiefs... you should be able to complete ALOT of passes down the field.

Then by the result of that 28 yard completion, "disaster" does ABSOLUTELY NOT HAPPEN ""every time" the Chiefs throw deep. If you can easily be proven to be 100% wrong about that, chances are you can also be wrong about other bold statements. My bet is the Bolts finish around. 500 at best and don't sweep anyone. They already blew that chance on the Raiders...!

I think it's great that no one is giving the Chiefs respect. It will help keep the players from getting big heads. And it will make it all the sweeter if the Chiefs knock off one of the teams that thinks they're superior.

So, everyone berates the Chiefs because they "almost lost" to teams like the Browns and Texans.

The Bengals have ACTUALLY lost to the Bears, Browns, and Dolphins and "almost lost" to the Bills.
The Broncos have ACTUALLY lost to the Colts and "almost lost" to the Cowboys.
The Colts have ACTUALLY lost to the Dolphins and Chargers and "almost lost" to the Raiders.
The Patriots have ACTUALLY lost to the Jets and Bengals and "almost lost" to the Bills, Falcons, and Jets (again).
The Seahawks have ACTUALLY lost to the Colts and "almost lost" to the Rams, Panthers, Titans, and Texans.
The Saints ACTUALLY lost to the Patriots and "almost lost" to the Falcons and Bucs.
The 49ers have ACTUALLY lost two complete blowout games that actually had their fans wishing they had Alex Smith back.

Until the Chiefs actually lose a game, I fail to see how anyone can say any of these teams are better than them.

How dare you apply logic when speaking of the CHIEFS! You should be forced to wear puke orange and blue.

"They don't believe you can do it" can go a long way in the locker room.

Well, Seattle certainly looked Super-Bowl worthy in their dominating win over the mighty St. Louis Rams on Monday night.

With a slightly injured and flailing Manning throwing up ducks everywhere, Denvers odds decrease significantly. They better hope he is healthy after the bye week.

Cincy just lost arguably the best player on their defense, Geno Atkins, to a torn ACL, which takes their defense down a significant notch.

So, in short, odds don't know dick.

**** Math!

Also, the SOS is bullshit. If this was still the Pioli/Crennel Chiefs, our opponents records would look something like this:
Dallas 5-3
Philly 4-4
NY Giants 2-6 (KC wins)
Raiders 4-4
Browns 4-4
Titans 4-4
Texans 3-5
Jags 0-8 (KC wins)

Omit the hapless Jags and Giants, the Chiefs would be facing a .500 schedule.

Take out Denvers wins against common opponents:
Dallas 6-2
Philly 5-3

Take out the Chargers win against common opponents:
Cowboys 7-1
Philly 6-2

My point being, you can't complain about KC or Denvers easy schedule when the AFCW teams are making them losers. The AFCW isn't a bunch slapdicks this season. Hell, even the Raiders showed a spark by beating the Chargers. Before the season started, the Steeler game would've been chalked up as a loss. Things change and teams improve.
