LAWRENCE | Kansas junior wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe and junior defensive tackle Jamal Greene have been suspended and held out of spring practices thus far, coach Mark Mangino revealed Friday.

“He’s been suspended for a violation of team policy,” Mangino said when asked about Briscoe’s absence at a practice open to the media. “I’ll review his case next week. Him and Jamal Greene both.”

Green, from Washington High School in Kansas City, Kan., played in 13 games last season and started eight, recording six tackles for loss and two sacks.

Briscoe was a focal point of the Jayhawks’ offense last season, catching 92 passes for 1,407 yards and 15 touchdowns.
