I am not going to get into a Jerry vs. Welker argument, but Jerry played back when a WR got raped up and down the field.

Yeah. His first year with NE was 2007. Been to 2 SB games and 4 AFCCGs (losses to Jets and Ravens, plus the two that we won. No SB wins though. Unfortunately, he had a couple key drops in some of those games.

Per PFF, Denver had the #5, #10, and #28 rated CBs last season. 3 starting quality CBs is pretty rare.

Yeah, he had "only" 4, plus another with 98 and another with 92.

But let's get real, we're not comparing Welker to Rice, right, because Rice is clearly and obviously the GOAT, and Welker ain't. He isn't even the greatest of right now (though I'd say he's certainly been top 10 and probably top 5 for some of these years).
