Will Charles hold out for a better contract?
Jamal is going to be paid a paltry $2.5 million in 2014. Thats not a typo. $2.5 million. One of the best running backs with 2-3 years left of prime time in his career..........I'm sure his agent is whispering in his ear. The Chiefs know its an insulting salary to pay one of the best RB's in the league.

You can say he signed it, play the contract out. But, its the real world.

NFL RB's that hold out always, always get their money. The template is clear. If Charles would set out a year, he loses $2.5 Million. You think he doesn't make that up in a new contract next year.

Anyone want to bet that the Chiefs give Charles a new contract this off season to avoid a nasty contract fight?

Oh for sure. There's nothing wrong with wanting some extra bank when you're arguably the best RB in the NFL. I think it just works well in our favour that he's probably not going to hold out or request to hit the market.

Not ready to see DJ go at all, but it'd still be a tough call for me between releasing either Flowers or Hali.

Flowers size and deep speed definitely leaves something to be desired.

But

Hali seems to be wearing out just as fast, and it honestly pains me to say, but the people throwing around the phrase "one trick pony" just might be right, cant remember the last time I watched him effectively use a rip or swim move to get back inside of guys who're constantly choking him out wide.

Its a tough call.
