Rumor: Bowe will stay beyond 2012.
Get your grain of salt ready.

I've been told by someone who is extremely close to Dwayne Bowe's brother that there's been a handshake deal in place since the end of last season.
This person went on to say he knew he'd be franchised this season followed by a four-year deal next year from the Chiefs.

I know nothing else, but this person seems very very confident in this information.

That's all I can tell you.

What leads you to believe the Chiefs have any problem with paying guys who deserve it while not investing too much in a particular position?

If true....be basically has a 5 year contract. It saves the Chiefs any salary cap money this year. Next year it helps the Chiefs reach the spending cap.
