Oh, there are QB's. Hopefully the Faid are stupid enough to stick with Palmer/Pryor and waste their bad year on Teo.

You guys were 2-14.... You better get the best player available, QB is not the only need you have on this abortion of a team

Mario Williams has been the engine that has brought the Texans to the cusp of SB glory. Meanwhile, the Falcons are regretting their decision to draft Matt Ryan, and the Ravens wish they would have passed on Joe Flacco and taken Jeff Otah instead.

.
At this time in '08 (I believe), Flacco was being mocked in the second. Thought to have an outside chance of going late in the first. Hindsight is shaping so much of this debate. |

yep, Mayock was insisting that Flacco was an early to mid second pick till the day of the draft he changed his tune by saying he was going in the 1st.

And when the Chiefs draft Geno, I will be thankful for that fact every day.
Flacco is a game manager with a big arm. But even he provides more impact than any other player at any other position than they could have drafted.

An yes, he will probably be better than QB X we draft this year. If he isn't he's gone "full Rivers..."

Here's a list of the most recent Hall of Fame OT's and guys generally regarded as the best:
Willie Roaf...no, wait... How about Anthony Munoz? Eh... Jackie Slater? Joe Thomas? Jake Long? Tony Boselli? Bruce Matthews? The closest you are going to get is the following: Orlando Pace was in Super Bowl 36 in 2002. Johnathan Ogden was in Super Bowl 35 in 2001. And it was the Ravens defense that was the reason they were in the Super Bowl. So, the last premiere NFL tackle to have actually been a key cog for the team appearing in the Super Bowl was probably Orlando Pace. Eleven years ago. |
