2001 season...

Another season, another broken heart. I've been a Chiefs fan for about 10 years now and it's getting tougher every year. I'll never start rooting for someone else but I may just lose interest and pick up a productive hobby. (yeah right) Anyway here is what I would like to see the Chiefs do before I become totally disgusted with them:

1. Pick, draft or get FA a running back and RUN HIM. Not for half the carries or in third and short or third and long or goal line situations. An every down back!!! I would like Dillon but I think drafting a young promising back in the first round (McCallister or Henry IMO) would also fit into the situation. A new coaching staff is going to take time to gel. This can be our RBs rookie year. RBBC has been killing us since Marcus. We couldn't run in the playoffs now we can't run period. This is first and foremost.

2. Good bye Gun! He's in over his head. Get rid of him and the three stooges follow. No need for a messy break-up.

3. Get back to attack defense full time. Wasted all season trying to protect the rookies. Put them on an island and let'em learn. What's the worst that could have happened 6-10?


That's about all it would take me to go to a couple games and watch them every game. What would get you guys back to proud and hopefull fans? Besides free alcohol that is.<BR>

If they did nothing else, firing Goonther MaGoo and his sorry(a)ss staff, I would be ecstatic. All other changes would be made by a competent HC and staff.
