Screwing with a scammer.
Got a text from a scammer after putting a boat on craigslist.
He sent a check through UPS

I told him I deposited it.

He keeps bugging me about it clearing the bank.

Just told him I think it got lost in the mail when I mailed it to my bank.

Gonna see if he will fork over another UPS charge to send another check.

Any ideas how to **** with this guy more?

I found the company the check was written by on the internet and called them and told them about it. I gave them the information . They thanked me as this guy burned them for $6000 already. I'm keeping the dumb ass busy with texts. Hoping they catch him.

Is the check fake ? Then they recall the funds?

Looks like a legitimate company check, but His number is Utah and the company is in California.

I don't know about that scam but i still get calls from some guy claiming to be from 'Windows Security'

Says that computer isn't connecting correctly to the Windows Security Server and then wants to show my how to change setting in Windows so it connects correctly and makes my computer work safely.

I followed along for awhile to see what he wanted to do. He tells you have to open a port and bypass the firewall.

He has you basically hack your own computer.

Everyone should tell any inexperience computer users you know about it so they don't fall for it.

Calls my house about once every 6 months so it must be working on people.
