-- Beans - the past due thread.

Hi,

I'd like to know what beans you enjoy? How you make them? What side-items you include. Condiments atop their finished product.

Just go on and on for months about nothing but beans, here.

I love beans and they're super healthy, affordable and act as a virtual meat.

Anyone ever use ham base?

Anyhow - go on about your bean preferences!

Today I'm fixing Great Northerns and Pintos / Medley - Ham hock as well

All About Beans

The Ham Loaf guy's procedure has been embedded below - as has a bean/Legume chart for reference (though incomplete)

Gotta go with the non-patterned Crockpot, so you can put the decal reminder on it

hahah = I get your hypothesis - or - geez that's not the right word - I get your 'school of thought' to let the existing one literally die - prior to getting another one. It's a little like an old cast iron skillet - in theory, at least.

I got your gist [sp].

Just didn't want the search for the word itching the back of your brain, if my guess could help close the book.

I know how those kinds of memory conundrums can be distracting.

What's that word?
Where did I hear that song?
Who was that guy I ran into at the post office?

Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz. . . .

Jist is not a proper word in and of itself, but it can be a creative way to spell just if you are attempting to convey a specific pronunciation of that word. If you can't decide whether to use jist vs. gist, remember that gist is a good word for a summary or main point, and jist is just wrong.

well sure - i just don't like to botch words. I double check any of the ones that I doubt I've originally spelled correctly. I remember I was ENTIRELY convinced that imbecile was spelled embecile. IIRC my misspelling was correct in England.

A few in the 13 bean mix but other than size (about a quarter) you'd never notice.
