Diplomacy is the art of saying "good doggie" while looking for a bigger stick.

Bakers trade bread recipes on a knead-to-know basis.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

A photographic memory is of no use if it's never developed.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a broken fan belt and a leaky tire.

If you don't pay your exorcist, you get repossessed.

Politicians and diapers should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

Anything you lose automatically doubles in value.

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having the good sense to be lazy.

Change is inevitable, except from vending machines.
