yeah-
I grew up in Olathe, KS and transplanted here to NC... so needless to say hurricanes look really weird when they are that close to my house |

strangely even though its only about an hour and half away, i have had virtually no rain from it, and its just been a little breezy

Having an actual Tropical Storm (Katrina) roll through these parts was bizarre, and we (thankfully) got the weak part of it.

Stay safe, Terribilis.
I stayed at Camp Lejeune for 3 years and never had a Hurricane scare. I'm guessing they're on alert there, huh? |

yeah I just saw on the weather channel they were having only 25mph gusts- the worst thing about this storm will be the flooding-
earlier today it was clocked at an awe-inspiring 7mph- so its taking its time to get out of here. i heard there are already 40k power outages in New Bern county |
