Reggie Miller was my favorite player as a kid, and the Pacers my favorite team.

I took a shower and ate dinner so I'm about 20 minutes behind, but the Pacers just won game 5, and everyone is blaming Spike Lee.

I always used The Pacers and Miller to WTFPWN my buddy at NBA Live '95.
Good times. |

The 8 points in 18 seconds game was probably the last time I ever gave up on a sporting event. A bit of an exaggeration but not my much. I quit watching that game... ended up tuning in for the 2nd half of the doubleheader that day. Saw them flash the score from the first game and it took me about 5 seconds to realize that holy crap, the Pacers won.
Kinda like the stories you hear of Dodger fans that left the Kirk Gibson WS game to beat the traffic. I'd love to see a documentary on just those people. |
