How old is your car?

Cars have become extremely reliable over the past 20 years. In 1996 the avg car in the road was 3 years old. In 2006 it was 10 and now it's 12.

How old is yours?

I marked 6-10 since my car is 10 years old. We just got a new car for my wife since hers was 20 years old. We are holding that one for when my 15 year old gets his license.

We just run them until they die.

One of my buddies buys a brand new car, every single year. He's done this for about 9 years. He also got a 17 on his ACT.

It had a ton of electrical gremlins and would just randomly die on me while driving down the road. It was a nice looking car and was nice when it actually worked but that was so rare that I ended up taking a bath on it when I traded it in on a different car just to get rid of it.

I hope they were much improved by '87.

I had six different cars between '97 and '07. Four of them were new or almost new. At one point I owned a new '99 Monte Carlo and a new '99 Cougar at the same time, although I sold the Cougar shortly thereafter. It was a good looking and sporty, but rode like a stagecoach and was an absolute dog off the line.

Rausch once remarked that every time I came down for a game I had a different vehicle.

I didn't read the poll very well and voted 11-15, but I had mistakenly read that to mean 2011 - 2015.

my first car was a 442.

..though, an '85 442. was mint condition; bought it from a guy in martin City for $3500. he was going through a divorce and needed cash fast. But in hindsight, was a dog on power. Had an electrical short somewhere that would leaving me playing roulette each time I went to start it / try to start it. Still loved it. Always loved that body style by GM; Grand Nationals etc. Always liked the Monte Carlo SS of that time frame. My 442 was sweet; black, t-tops. Just what a 16 year old kid needs.

When I see a Monte SS now off on someone's property while driving, I'll say to my wife "look at that! that's bad ass!", and she looks at me like I'm crazy.

I didn't have many issues when it was my daily driver. It was the first vehicle I ever bought with my own money. That is the only reason I still own it. Now I only drive it about once a month just to keep the battery charged and to keep everything lubricated. I keep it around strictly for sentimental reasons. My wife complains constantly about me still having it sit around, but that's when I remind her that it is the first car we had sex in.
