Alex Smith Traded to Chiefs

Well, it looks like the deal is done.

https://twitter.com/intent/user?scre...w_p=tweetembed

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
49ers have completed a trade with the Chiefs for Alex Smith, tho can't be official til March 12. Chiefs really made a commitment to Smith

Jay Glazer @JayGlazer
Deal has been agreed upon between Chiefs and 49ers. Compensation unclear but I'm told again Chiefs have made a clear commitment to Smith.

You don't think Smith would've won the Colt game? He did play in that game you know, and he played well.

Smith is nothing special, but he sure does get undervalued by a lot of people. Foles, who everyone says is better than Smith, sat there for a while in FA before taking a backup job with his old team. If Smith is cut tomorrow he's signed very quickly to start somewhere.

His regular season winning percentage is primarily a product of everything around him and him not making critical mistakes.

And even with that winning percentage, what does that really mean? Is anybody crowing about the Chiefs having the second-best winning percentage in the 90s?

It's not meaningless, but it gets close when you're not winning a lot of playoff games and never legitimately challenging for a SB.

I enjoy the style of defense they employ, ball security, elite special teams, and studs like Kelce, Hill, and Maclin. Why do you think they got six primetime games? In a pathetic NFL, this squad is fun to watch. Add an absolute STUD like Mahomes to the fold replacing Capn Shitpants

If you are a simpleton, Madden Nation fanboy I can see your point

Don't get me wrong, I'm still not an Alex Smith fan per se, and he's probably pissed me off more at times than any other Chiefs player has, but I've come to appreciate and grudgingly respect him for what he was and is.

I also think that the things that make Alex "good" for us are things that Mahomes needs help with. Maybe its naive of me, but I think there are a couple of things Smith can teach Mahomes that would be valuable.

His cap hit in 2018 can **** right off, though. Needs a substantial pay cut for me to be happy with him for 2 years.

I think this thread the day Mahomes II takes over should end up in the Romper Room. Hell that would be a good place for it now.

Mahomes will unite us all. The turd waters of the Alex fanbois will recede rather quickly.

be careful what you wish for...

Without the toxic contention of such a polarizing player.. no less a QB.. CP will likely get very boring and take a dip in activity. There's a reason why jackholes like Claynus and his puppet SDH have been allowed back in time after time. Place is all about dem clicks.

Here's to hoping you get something right.

Maybe Clark should provide repatriations for their fandom.

Smith took alot of shots and hits behind a shitty ol while they built it up and carried on with it.
Go **** myself, sure.. but I enjoyed this level of honesty, at least.

Actually no one has ever, not once, seriously, . Even mentioned clicks or page views to us.

Austin has never even weighed in on who stays or goes, never once even commented on the hootie situation.

So you are wrong

Oh, I plan on being right here... becoming a big Mahomo.. and giving him as much learning curve leeway (excuses) as I can stand without vomiting.

Still peaking back into the Niners though. I won't watch their games over KC ones.. but I do want to see what they are building, now that the smelly trash has been thrown out.
