I think there is a guy named Kris Kringle who should be along to help you out.

I think you're screwed. It's going to want to record the first airing of the show unless it interferes with some other, higher priority season pass you have.
I'm not sure a season pass is the right answer for you. If the show airs frequently on Tuesdays at 3:00 AM, I think you may be able to setup a recurring recording session for that time. But if they're splattered all over, you're screwed, IMO. All that said, my wife is the queen of TiVo in our house. I have an advanced understanding of the product, but she is the one who knows the nitty gritty details. |

I think that "first run only"/#2 should do it as long as those show are first runs themselves and repeats.

If you specifically want it to record the 1am and 2am episodes, I'm not sure you have a choice other than to set up a manual recording by date/time.

If there is a way to make Season Pass do what you're asking, I don't know it. None of those first 3 options you listed have anything to do with that though.
You might check the Tivo customer support page http://customersupport.tivo.com/userWelcome.asp |

This all has become a problem because 2 weeks ago I set up a season pass for Battlefront to record at 1am, or so I thought, but last night, without my knowledge, it recorded at 8pm and my wife's recording of American Idol was cancelled. Neither of us were home to catch the problem. Now I'm in big trouble and my wife thinks that I did this on purpose. She's MAD!!!!! Now, I have to find the answer to this question to show her that I didn't sabotage her American Idol. It was truely a mistake of ignorance on my part. Then, I need to know the answer to this so that it doesn't happen again.
Lastly, I think Phob might be right. I'm probably screwed. I asked a friend of mine who has TiVo. He also thinks that the only solution is to set a manual repeating manual recording. I guess I could do that, but that sucks in my view. I'll probably have to get on the horn to TiVo customer service.

Don't do that...
Recording by time and channel defeats the whole purpose of a Season Pass. There is a much simpler solution: Move your wife’s Season Passes above yours in the Season Pass Manager. TiVo will record a higher-priority SP [higher on the list] before a lower priority. You can also set her shows to “Save Until I Delete” in the SP Manager. That way, your crappy shows will slide off the To Do List and her programs will remain until she manually deletes them. xoxo~ Gaz Occupies the lower tier of the Season Pass Manager. |
