Food everyone else loves, but you think is overrated

Just thinking about foods that everyone else seems to think is the greatest thing ever, and you just don't get...

Me: Nutella. I'd never tried it until today when someone at the grocery store had samples of those little snack packs. So I tried it. It's not bad, but it's certainly overrated.

So I'm trying to think of other things like this. What do you have for me?

It doesn't taste unless it's buried in something to hide it. It's a good substitute for some of the macaroni in mac n' cheese for kids though. Buried in cheese of course.

Beef has nutritional value.

Most cereals are just empty carbs.

So what's been proven is that you can't please all of the people all of the time...

OK, my entry.. "A great single malt Scotch." No matter where it's made, how expensive it is, the history of the barrel that was forcefully drafted into service to make it taste less bad - Scotch blows. Much like whiskey.. Straight, on the rocks, with a dash of water....no matter how it's just not good. At best it's a status symbol. I can only think of one good use for it and that's putting it into water from a source you're not sure about in hopes that it kills any bacteria and parasites that might kill you via the shits.

See, I'm sure others will disagree...

I don't eat breakfast anymore. But when I did if I had cereal it would be something steel cut oats--not packaged cereals from the supermarket.

I agree. I've tried many thinking my taste buds were off, but never found one drinkable.

Whiskey drinks are good if you're cold and feel like getting drunk. That's it.

Jesus ****ing Christ, **** ****ing ranch in the ****ing face. I hate that shit. What's the quickest way to take something good for you and make it terrible for you? Go oz. for oz. with ranch. That seems to be the only way to utilize ranch.

God ****.

One time my wife's sister and her kids came out. So I was nice and cooked them some downright ****ing beautiful steaks. ****ing beautiful. So I'm had to refill the water so I'm in the kitchen after the kids had eaten a couple bites of the steak and my wife grabs the ranch and says, "don't freak out."

I held it together through the meal, then I melted down. JFC. I should have just grilled up a flank steak or something shitty instead of a great freaking ribeye, if all they're going to use it for is a ****ing avenue to consume ranch. ****ing ****. ****.
