Anyone familiar with water drainage laws in Kansas?
I've asked my neighbor nicely to not let his sump pump or pool drain onto our property, he complies for a little bit and then tries to hide the fact that he does it.
Is there any legal recourse I can take to make him stop it? |

Is it even necessary to say antifreeze anymore?

I'm not sure about what legal things you can do, but one thing I do know... neighbors suck!

I'm assuming you're on the down hill side of him. You want him to pump it into a trashcan and haul it off?

Pool is probably a valid complain if he's draining the whole thing or even a major amount. As long as the street isn't uphill he should be able to run a hose out to the street to spare you a muddy yard.
Sump pump is pretty nitpicky. I'd drop sump pump from your complaint and focus on the pool. |

Need some more information. Don't know about Kansas, but you can dump water on your neighbor in Iowa if he is unwilling to share cost. Are you directly "downhill" from said neighbor. Is it an option to put the water underground??

I had a talk with him today. He is going to increase the pipe length and have it pump out to the end of his yard instead of directly on my yard.

rent several cement trucks. this of course only works if it's an inground. above ground, rent a large truck with one of those nerf bars for ramming stuff. also, make sure a video camera is recording. |
