I thought it was odd but that's the bill of goods they sold and it was done. I just always assumed that the ownership couldn't or wouldn't ok that much coin going out for salaries.

In all honesty, I really don't expect this OKC group to win a Championship. Fabulous nucleus, but in need of some retooling around your big 2. Something they could very easily do and get them over that hump - but I have no clue if they will make a decisive push and go all in just as you fairly pointed out. Also I'm not in the least impressed with their coaching, but it hasn't reached Rockets level lows. On the positive, Miami has won 2 in spite of their sock puppet of a coach.

Their sock puppet of a coach actually runs a pretty good offense unlike Brooks' complete mess. Took them a while to become what they are now, though. They were not anything close to this in LeBron's first year in Miami.

He's improved and I would hope so with Pat holding his hand. But you're not going to tell me he's a top 10 NBA coach.
