Chiefs How much say will new coach have on draft day?

No one in this organization has a say anymore. The coach might say who he likes, but Pioli will likely drop kick him.

No question about it, the final call is Pioli's. I would suspect that he'll choose a HC with similar values/football philosophy so there probably won't be a lot of arguing on it. But in the few instances where there is disagreement, Pioli wins. But that isn't a lot different than Carl either, who only overruled a coach with LJ, I believe.

I've read that the New England Patriots had a group of people that made the roster/draft/fa decisions. Of course the most important in that group being Bill Belichick and Scott Pioli.

The same will happen here with the best NFL personnel minds trying to create a team. Scott is not going to hire a head coach or coordinators that he does not respect their opinions. They will be able to voice their opinion on the players that they need. As others have pointed out though, Scott Pioli and Clark Hunt, when needed, will have the ultimate decision for players for the team.

Hopefully by this time next week we will know the head coach that Scott will be making football decisions with.
