JFC.

Special Teams (and great special teams) are made up of first and second team players that are ascending. Considering that the Chiefs are essentially an expansion franchise, it's going to take a few more years to fill the STARTING POSITIONS, let alone the backups and depth.

Sproles would be an absolute waste of money. He was completely and utterly shut down in the Pittsburgh game and he's an accessory at best.

If Sproles just wants a small contract and to return kicks hes not leaving SD. If he leaves its to be paid like a premiere back.

yeah you're probably right. I still would like to think Charles/Sproles waiting for the kick offs. If the opposing team won't kick to them that only means better field position than what the Chiefs had in 2008.

Sproles is going to do 1 of 2 things.

1. Sign a FA contract w/ a club, demanding a decent amount of money, and he will get a significant amount of touches on the offensive side of the ball.

2. He'll resign w/ the Chargers and get the same money he would get elsewhere.

There is no sign w/ any team to be a special teams specialist option.
