Pittsburgh's D was trash last year as well. There is no defending Alex's playoff performance last year. That being said I'm not sure it's time to start Mahomes yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happens this year. 100% it's happening next year.

Steelers D ranked 11th best in dvoa and 12th in total D.. better than KC at 14th and 24th total D.

Any entirety of season stats can deceive when playoff time comes, anyway.

The NYG had a 19th ranking in dvoa.. had a 25th ranking in total D.. yet were kicking the ass of Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady as they cruised to a SB.


Simple, bottom line is many fans just want one easy target to lay into. They expect some miracle QB to carry a brokedick, drop-happy, Andy play-calling offense. Hey, maybe Mahomes can be that guy, who knows. Alex Smith hasn't been a QB that can do that, and I doubt there are more than 2 QBs in the whole league that could have.

He has the best D/ST in the NFL for putting up points. Nobody does it better. She's VERY serious. All of a sudden, Andy was a sucky coach, every receiver was trash, and the defense and special teams just weren't doing quite enough to help poor Alex win.

She is a Smith Transplant, the absolute worst kind of fan in all of pro ball. We were warned extensively about these leeches from 9-er fans that had dealt with said clowns for years.
These fools thought they were going to find willing, compliant hayseeds that would agree with their every musing regarding their beloved shit-stain QB.
Instead, they found a fan base that was FAR more football literate than their own, and who had already had more than enough of their jive-ass Frisco-trash castoffs.
Mahomes fans from Texas have already killed them in the knowledge and class departments, so at least we have a much brighter future in that regard.
