6 FA : Anyone who would be good for the Chiefs?

Six most interesting players still on free-agent market

These are the ones I think we should at least take a look at :

5. Leon Hall, cornerback: Similar to Foster, Hall's next home is on hiatus until he's recovered from offseason back surgery. The 31-year-old slot corner has drawn interest from the Dolphins, Falcons, Cardinals, Giants and Cowboys.
(minus our experience with Saints G's)
6. Jahri Evans, guard: Once the NFL's highest-paid guard, Evans has faced a cold market after refusing a pay cut from the Saints -- leading to his release in February. This might be the end of the road for the four-time first-team All-Pro selection.

Well, maybe we should start asking him to do so? He should be comfortable in the offense by now. Boldin would be our possession WR and a Red Zone target.

I get it, too much like Bowe's play style for CP. Difference is that Boldin is affordable, better than Bowe, and if he'd even consider us he would likely come on a one 1yr contract + 1yr option.

I'm not ready to let one of our young #2 WR hopefuls have that spot until they've earned it.

Make that 7.

Ian Rapaport@RapSheet-The #Panthers have released CB Brandon Boykin, who signed in March. Got an $80K signing bonus for 2 months.

Don't need him now, but wow I didn't expect him to get released like this.

I don't get how he keeps becoming available.. He must be an absolute shit head. No other reason to get rid of that quality of player at that price.

Alex has forced the ball into coverage more lately. He has to trust the receiver, and I'm sure he would trust Boldin.

Panthers did exactly what the Chiefs did in the draft and just loaded up on secondary making these cheap veterans that were signed pre-draft expendable

I'd sign Boykin, cut Brown and have Murray running with the safeties. Boykin in the slot could firm up this secondary so much if only as an insurance policy. At that point you have Gaines and Russell battling for 1 spot out wide with White and Nelson battling in the slot. It just firms up the depth chart by narrowing down the competition a bit and suddenly things get a lot cleaner, IMO.

With the Panthers secondary issues and the little amount he was signed for, him being cut raises some "shit head in the locker room" concerns for me.

The steelers aND panthers need corners and weren't real interested in keeping him around. Seems fishy

Apparently the Eagles are interested in trading Sproles. I'm not super interested, maybe 5 years ago.

Anyone?

He finally has a receiver to trust in Maclin.

Jesus ... Our receivers in 2013 were Bowe,Avery,Jenkins,McCluster and Hemingway. Fasano,McGrath and Brock at tightend.

McCluster was his most trustworthy receiver.

People wonder why Smith didn't trust that pile of crap.

I don't think that Brown makes the roster regardless but it's awfully strange that Boykin's been cut twice in the past four months after being on his third team in 8 months.

There's something going on.

Kinda puts into perspective how good of a coach Reid is for getting that offense to do what it did.
