I got a press pass when I worked for a Radio Station in Columbia, and sat with the other sportswriters for a game with my friend Derrek. We took pads of paper and a tape recorder to look "reporter like" but we were there to watch Bo. He had a home plate collision with Rick Dempsey and just destroyed him. In the locker room afterwards, Mark Gubicza was calling him "Robo Cop." Bo was a massive, massive human being. If he would have stayed with baseball only, he would have been a HOF player, no doubt about it.

I remember him doing an inside the park home run and I thought it was the coolest thing ever because I've never seen anyone do that before.

My Dad didn't take me to a lot of games as a kid, but the first one he took me to was in 86 against the Mariners. Got to see Bo crack his monster shot up the grass incline in left. Even in the upper deck where we sat, the sound it made was unique. Of course, hearing it as a kid and all the time that passed I've probably inflated my memory of it, but it was unlike any other home run I've seen or heard.

Anyone see the 30 for 30 on Bo? At a high school football picnic the team went swimming at a lake. Bo waded out waist high, jumped out of the water, and did a back flip. He also used to hop picnic tables sideways.
