Life ----- Definitely Not Fair
So this brilliant doctor who has had a long and very successful career, a nationally recognized expert in infectious diseases, decides to make a radical change in his life after some tough years -- surviving a bypass surgery and caring for his former wife who died of a neuromuscular disorder in 2001.

So he remarries and moves to Botswana, where the AIDS rate is 40%, to help deal with the disease and train healthcare workers there.

And then one day...

Life was definitely not fair to the guy who got hit by a train at the station near my house this morning. I got there after they'd moved the train but before they'd removed the remains. All I saw was a foot sticking out from underneath a bloody sheet, but it was still a bit more gruesome than I like my day to begin.
