Haven't seen enough of any of them, aside from Surtain.
Derrick Johnson looks as though he belongs out there, but I haven't seen a lot of outstanding plays from him. |

DJ, Surtain and Colquitt are studs at their position. Thorpe has potential. I'd like to see him take Chris Horn's spot next season. The jury is still out. It'll be hard for Boomer to break into the starting line up in the upcoming years. He's not going to replace Mitchell. But, he'll be good depth at LB and I think he'll grow into a ST monster. However, he'll be a better LB than Scanlon by the end of next season. (but that's not saying much) Hodge looked good in TC and has potential. He's the 5th CB right now. He might be the #4 CB next year. Carlos Hall didn't cost much. It was a good trade. He doesn't have to do much to be worth the draft pick that we gave up. Svitek and Parquet have potential. I don't expect much from them. They were low draft picks. That's where you take a chance on a no name player. Maybe Solari can develop them. I have higher expectaions for Svitek than Parquet. Khari Long - who cares James Killian - who cares

day 1 was very good
A starting OLB with excellent potential, makin some plays now too. A starting CB, with multiple pro-bowls and lots of experience. It does appear he's showing some age, but still a solid CB. A pretty steady punter, FINALLY!!! Day 2 I do not expect to find any immediate starters, but I do expect a couple part time contributors. Carlos Hall is definitely that, and Boomer is getting his knocks on ST. It's Hodge and Thorpe that I want to see getting some plays on ST, we need more speed. Cro so far is dissappointing, but I won't say 'waste' in his rookie year, he gets at least 1 season before I truly expect production. |

Since we punt less than anyone in the league, it was absolutely necessary to address that position in 3rd round.

What do you mean Surtain is showing his age? He's not that old to begin with. This should be the prime of his career.

I'm damn glad to have him, as he's a helluva fine football player, don't misunderstand me. Just he does not appear to be the same player he used to be. I also acknoledge, this may have much to do with KC's front 4 vs. Miami's front 4 the past few years. |

He's been pretty solid to me, i dont see him being thrown to that much, plus hes been banged up a bit too. Well worth the 2nd rounder imo easy.

I must admit...seeing the Chrgers get Merriman really pissed me off. But Thomas Davis has done nothing to live up to his hype so far in Carolina.
