Well I sure hope so. The mound has been lowered from 16" to 10" and guys workout much harder than back in the day. Somebody will. I still consider Maris as the single season HR king...without question. 61 the movie really puts a light on what Roger went through and I love the guy. Not a huge talent but the dude worked at it. Nothing but the greatest amount of respect. As a guy that has used steroids I can tell you it's a HUGE advantage. When your on roids you can do things you never thought was possible. I only did one cycle 200 first week, 400 the next, and then 600 the next. This is when I was done with HS and college I just wanted to get bigger. I weigh 175 and my max bench went from 315 to 380 in two weeks!! It's crazy what that shit can do and you feel so much stronger. You also feel like you just hit puberty because I was horny as hell all the time. I didn't like the way that it made me feel, but my girl friend was just a little on the sore side and said "OK enough." If you can hit a baseball without a doubt it makes a gigantic difference.
Oh and BTW the HR record will fall before Zack's 7 straight starts without an earned run does!!! Go get them f**kers Zack. |

Naa that one will be broken and IMO is not all that impressive. I think the only "unbeatable" record is The most wins in a season, in modern era baseball was 41 in 1904, the game has just changed and a pitcher is lucky to get 30+ starts.

Zack Greinke will hit 61 home runs after insisting on playing DH when he's not pitching.

Hey bro Zack has showed he can rake if given the chance. He's a 0 handicap on a golf course which he tries to make out like it's no big deal but the guy is an amazing athlete in every way. He can hit for sure. He's prolly better than some of our other DH's. I say why the hell not? Couldn't look dumber than some of the stupid shit Trey has done. At least he has stats to backup this approach. He's got an .833 career OPS!!

I am sorry to break this to you, but Maris and Aaron are no longer the Home Run Kings. Just because you do not agree with it does not mean that it did not take place. I am not happy with it either, but it is the way that it is. You can not prove for sure who used it and who did not. They have not caught all that did use enhancers. We do have a good idea, but that is all that we do have.

Barry Ballgame will one day exceed Frank Thomas' record of 68 home runes in a single season
that is at least 74 runes

Tough call...
I only see it happening if they make roids legal, or baseball players realize the importance of getting their asses into the weight room in HS and/or college. |

The question is do you think anyone will hit over 61, not 73. |

Honestly someone will hit 61 sometime.. but hitting .400 that seems untouchable to me. I just don't see it happening.

I think the better question is whether somebody will actually match Bonds' HR record. It's quite ridiculous when you think about it, but I suspect that some time in the future there will be talented players using even better drugs than Bonds used. So yes, I think it can be done.
