Looks like Tampa/ St.Pete is in for a direct hit. They're looking at an 8-10' storm surge. Hernando county where I live is ecpected to be 6-8'. I'm glad I'm not in a flood zone, but with winds of around 120 mph, I've got some major puckering going on right now.

I had to get a couple more things from my Mom's place this morning. This place is a ghost town...

Just got a text from a neighbor in Miami Dadeland/Kendall area saying that they are watching from their window a large construction crane spinning wildly in the wind. This by design for the crane to withstand the high winds, but still crazy to watch.
