Drunk Chiefs fan thought he saw elway in the crowd
A man allegedly hit a Kansas City police horse in the face with his elbow Monday after the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day parade. The horse appeared to be all right and carried on with his work, police said in a tweet shortly after the incident. Police said that the incident occurred around 39th Street and Broadway as members of the police department’s mounted patrol were following the crowd as people were leaving the area of the parade. The man was jumping and waving his arms when he struck the horse. He was detained briefly after the incident, police said. Few other problems were reported at Monday’s parade, police said. A pickpocket stole a cell phone and wallet from a woman’s purse during the parade, and one person who was questioned about that incident was arrested for an unrelated matter.
